EXPERIENCE
Dato' Seri Suppiah Manikam has extensive knowledge of, and experience in international business such as in Japan, India and Indonesia. He also has significant executive management and board of directors experience in Malaysia and abroad.
Dato' Seri Suppiah Manikam is a true believer of the power of people connections where he has contributed substantial time and energy of his life to the people. He has been appointed as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland where he further strengthen relationship between Poland and Malaysia in terms of tourism, economy and Friendship Cities Project between Krakow, Poland and Penang, Malaysia. During his tenure in Penang Cares Association as Honorary Advisor, the association has raised an ample amount of RM450K for Tsunami that hit Penang in 2004. He has integrated his interest about the development of society into action and has shown his care about the community regardless of races — weaving a strong social fabric through difficult times.
LIST OF STATE AWARDS RECEIVED FROM H.E GOVERNOR OF PENANG
Dato' Seri Suppiah Manikam was accorded the first title PINGAT KELAKUAN TERPUJI (PKT) by the Penang State Governor on year 2004 — followed with the title DARJAH JOHAN NEGERI (DJN) on year 2006, DARJAH SETIA PANGKUAN NEGERI (DSPN) on year 2009 and DARJAH YANG MULIA PANGKUAN NEGERI (DMPN) on year 2012. On 2017, he was also awarded by PERIM as title PINGAT PERKHIDMATAN AWAM (PPA) & DARJAH GEMILANG PANGKUAN NEGERI (DGPN) by the Penang State Governor on year 2017. The latest, he was conferred as DARJAH PANGLIMA PANGKUAN NEGERI (DPPN) on year 2020.
